MessageLabs is the market leader in cloud security and in 2008 was acquired by Symantec because they recognised the importance of cloud security. Since 2008 Symantec has made additional investments with the expansion of the product portfolio (archiving and endpoint protection), additional datacentres across the global and more resources to support and develop the business.
